AI Ready Schools Open Workshop for Teachers
The Erasmus+ AI Ready project aims to enhance AI literacy in education by empowering schools, teachers, and students with knowledge about artificial intelligence’s benefits, risks, and ethical use.
The project aims at balancing AI’s transformative potential with human-centric values, adhering to ethical guidelines, and raising public awareness about responsible AI implementation in educational settings.
This includes the development of comprehensive guidelines for schools to implement responsible AI policies and the enhancement of the SELFIE tool with AI readiness assessment questions. The project will
promote responsible and human-centric AI use in education
Teacher Empowerment, training teachers inAI literacy and pedagogical skills and organising workshops for students exploring AI applications and ethics. The project coordinator is UC Limburg in Belgium with partners across in Greece & Spain.
On 26 April the AI Ready project is holding an open webinar for teachers. The interactive session will explore the role of AI in secondary education, focusing on both the opportunities and challenges it presents. Participants will gain insights into the current state of AI use in schools and hear practical experiences from partner institutions in Belgium, Greece, and Spain. There. Will also be a short presentation on the implications for education of the EU AI Act.
The workshop will also include a collaborative component, where participants will contribute to the development of a practical guideline for the use of AI in schools, designed to be adaptable to different educational contexts.
To try to find a time when most teachers will be able to take part the webinar will be from 1600 to 1730 Central European Time and as well as the session on 22 APRIL, the workshop will be repeated on 6 May.
