Congratulations to Thuy Cae

Many of those colleagues involved in the Erasmus+ AI pioneers project may remember the visit by Thuy Cat to Europe in summer 2025. In an all too short visit, Thuy met managers and practitioners from vocational schools in Germany and Italy as well as making a presentation at an AI Pioneers project meeting. This was part of her work for her Fellowship report: AI Integration for Student Engagement for the Australian International Specialised Skills Institute.
Thuy’s Fellowship report has recently been published. The report explores how artificial intelligence (AI) can be integrated into vocational education and training (VET) to enhance student engagement, learning outcomes, and educator capability. Drawing on international fieldwork in Germany, Italy, and Singapore, it identifies global best practices and informed the development of a practical AI Integration Framework. The framework places students at the centre and focuses on strengthening cognitive, emotional, social, and wellbeing engagement while supporting effective change management.
The report emphasises the central role of educators, the importance of ethical AI use and professional development, and the need for system-level support to create an inclusive and future-ready education system.
Congratulations to Thuy from AI Pioneers!
