AI Ready Schools
Last week we celebrated the kick off of a new AI schools project at our first meeting in Leuven. The project builds on the work we did in AI@School and previous Taccle projects in that we will work with schools, teachers and pupils to co-create curriculum linked resources.
AI Ready is an Erasmus+ initiative designed to prepare secondary schools for the digital future by equipping the educational community with the knowledge and skills to understand and use Artificial Intelligence (AI) effectively. Being AI Ready isn’t just about knowing AI—it’s about making informed decisions, understanding its potential, and using it ethically to meet the unique needs of schools, teachers, and students, and knowing when not to use it at all!
The project aim is to empower schools, teachers, and students to use AI responsibly, balancing innovation with human-centric values. Over the next three years, we will equip educators with practical AI literacy and pedagogical skills, develop ready-to-use educational resources for classrooms, foster critical thinking about AI’s role in society and create a network of AI-ready schools across Europe.
