Webinar “Measuring Awareness of Using GenAI in University Studies: A Metacognitive Approach”
As part of our ongoing exploration of responsible AI in education and the latest trends shaping digital education, we’re happy to invite you to another important webinar hosted by the EDEN Digital Learning Europe NAP (Network for Academics and Professionals):
Topic: Measuring Awareness of Using GenAI in University Studies: A Metacognitive Approach.
When: February 27th at 15:00 CET (until 16:30).
Where: EDEN Zoom platform (link will be sent to registered participants).
Register for the webinar here.
We’ll be unpacking something very important: the intersection of AI, learning, and metacognition. Generative AI is changing the way we teach and learn, and while its potential is often discussed, we need to focus more on its actual impact on learning.
How does AI affect how we learn, how we think about our learning, and how we can become more aware and effective learners in this “AI-driven” world? This webinar is designed to tackle these questions head-on.
While the primary focus is on higher education, the core principles of metacognitive learning are relevant across all sectors. So, if you’re working in VET or adult education, you’ll definitely find valuable takeaways here too.
Guest speakers prof. dr. Josep M. Duart (Open University of Catalonia, Spain), prof. dr. Airina Volungevičienė (Vytautas Magnus University, Lithuania), and Kateryna Harbarets (Vytautas Magnus University, Lithuania) will be sharing their insights and research results. The webinar will be moderated by AI Pioneers project researcher and EDEN DLE NAP Steering committee member Giedrė Tamoliūnė.
We’ll be discussing things like:
- How can metacognitive strategies boost learners’ awareness of their learning process when using AI?
- What’s our role as educators in developing metacognitive skills in an AI-supported environment?
- What are the specific considerations for using AI in higher education?
Join us on February 27th at 15:00 CET. Read more and register now on the EDEN website.
