AI Pioneers at the E-learning Centre Week on ethical and responsible AI in education

Today Alexia Antzaka, Giedrė Tamoliūnė and Lisa Meyne had the opportunity to present the AI Pioneers Project at the E-learning Centre Week organised by the University of Zagreb and the University Computing Centre (SRCE) on the topic of e𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 r𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘈𝘐 𝘪𝘯 e𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯.
For this purpose the AI Pioneers Evaluation schema for AI in education on data, privacy, ethics, and EU values has ben presented with the key areas adressing e.g. the current AI use in institutions, AI maturity, ethical questions, AI governance and monitoring and pedqgocial considerations.  

In this context, we had interesting dicussions about the ethical use of AI in educational settings fokussing on how AI is used in different educational institutions, institutional policies and guidelines regulating the use of AI, as well as pedagocial challenges when using AI for teaching and learning.
