One of our network members in Australia sent us some great resources to add to the toolkit. I’ll be testing them out and sharing them here.

First up is Conker, a quick quiz generator; give it a title, an audience and between 100 and 800 words of source text and you’ve got a summative assessment in under 5 minutes. Options are Multiple Choice, Read and Respond and Fill in the Blanks.

Conker.ai is an AI-driven tool that streamlines quiz creation, grading, and feedback for educators. It customizes assessments, integrates seamlessly with popular education platforms, and provides standards-aligned quizzes, enabling teachers to deliver efficient and personalized feedback to students.

The free version has enough features to let you try it properly, the premium version starts at $3.99 for a month and allows you to input more text and have up to 100 students take the quiz.

I’ve gone with Macbeth for testing purposes as that’s what we are learning in our house right now but any topic you have text for will work.

Do you need this AI tool?

Any LLM like ChatGPT or Claude will generate a question bank for you if you ask it in the right way. The advantage here is in being able to quickly make and share an interactive version and give feedback like you would in Kahoot or other popular quiz apps.
