AI Pioneers Update: Advancing Education Through AI Tools and Ethical Frameworks
We are happy to share some exciting developments from the AI Pioneers project as we continue to push the boundaries of innovation in education.
Introducing AI Toolkit for Education
We are delighted to announce that we are in the final stages of creating a comprehensive toolkit packed with AI tools tailored specifically for educational purposes. From insightful application examples to practical implementations, our toolkit aims to empower educators and learners alike. This invaluable resource will be accessible on our website https://aipioneers.org/ by the end of June. Stay tuned for more updates!
Developing The Handbook on Ethical Use of AI in VET and Adult Education
The project team collaborates on the development of the Handbook on the Ethical Use of AI in VET and Adult Education, aligned with the European Digital Education Plan. This Handbook aims to provide practical guidance on ethical AI use. It will serve as a practical guide for teachers, offering criteria for evaluating AI Tools and explanations of how to use the evaluation schema with good and bad examples of AI tools’ employment.
Organising national and international workshops.
In line with our commitment to knowledge sharing, collaboration, and networking, we have planned a series of workshops for our esteemed network members. These workshops will provide hands-on experience with AI technologies and foster discussions on their integration into educational settings. Save the date for the upcoming events:
- Online workshop (in German) “Science meets Practice – KI und Robotik in der beruflichen Bildung” held by University Bremen, ITB on 15 May 2024.
- webinar (in English) “AI and Foreign Language Teaching/Learning” held by CSI on 24 September 2024.
Keep an eye on our LinkedIn page- “AI Pioneers Network”, and project website for announcements regarding registration, workshop dates, and topics.
Presenting project results at international conferences
We are proud to announce that our project will be presented at two international conferences: the EDEN 2024 Annual Conference in Graz on 16-18 June 2024 and the CIISE conference in Bilbao on 24-25 May 2024. Oral presentations and action lab will offer insights and hands-on experiences into our approach to AI in education and provide opportunities for networking and collaboration. We look forward to sharing our progress and exchanging ideas with fellow pioneers in the field of AI in education.
