AI Pioneers Final Conference “AI and the Future of Education”
🎉It’s already been a week since the AI Pioneers final conference “AI and the Future of Education” (September 22-23, 2025 in Bremen, Germany)! 🎉
🚀 We can draw the following conclusion:
– More than 120 participants participated, got involved and made valuable contributions 🥳,
– A great moderation through the whole conference by Prof Dr Dr h.c. Michael Gessler & Lisa Meyne,
– 17 interesting and fruitful presentations,
– 5 presentations on the results of AI Pioneers (special thanks to Lisa Meyne (project coordinator), Ana Dias, George Bekiaridis, Graham Attwell, Cassandra Wubbels and Alexia Antzaka)
– 3 insightful keynotes on the following topics:
💡 “How AI is transforming dual vocational training – insights from apprenticeship training at FESTO” by Stefan Dietl,
💡 “Upskilling, Deskilling and Skillflation. A critical reflection on the AI skills discourse and implications for VET education” by Prof Dr Marco Kalz,
💡 “Fostering deep learning through informative feedback with AI: toward a learning dialogue in VET” by Prof Dr Karsten Wolf & Prof Dr Andreas Breiter,
– 5 interactive, intensive and lively workshops,
– 4 inspiring and dynamic network sessions for engaging in new contacts,
– 1 exciting, insightful and inspiring panel discussion, featuring in total 5 persons from 4 countries:
👉 Ana Dias (Portugal), Angela Karadog (Spain), George Bekiaridis (Greece), Prof Dr Ralph Dreher (Germany), Prof Dr Dr h.c. Michael Gessler (Germany). Many thanks to Dr Ludger Deitmer for his engaging moderation! 👏
💬 Besides all the practical, inspiring, forward-looking and innovative contributions, there was plenty of time for networking and discussion during the breaks. Many new contacts were made, existing contacts were deepened, and perhaps there are also one or two new ideas for joint projects or plans.
🧡 On top of that, the conference dinner at the Ratskeller in Bremen was a complete success: good food, good drinks and, of course, excellent company to continue the discussions from the conference.
🧡 A big thank you and high congratulations go to conference organiser Dr Christine Siemer for the successful and impressive organisation of the conference. Of course, our thanks also go to her wonderful team: Lisa Meyne, Frieda Klaus, Karen Trost, Marvin Demmin, Emelie Hofemeister und Julian Schoof.
In conclusion, we can say:
🥳 The two-day conference was a success in every respect!
🧡 We would like to thank everyone who contributed, provided exciting ideas and brought the conference to life. This made the conference a very special experience!
We look forward to seeing you next time.
