With three active contributions, AI Pioneers was once again able to participate in this year’s EDEN Conference under the title ‘Shaping the Future of Education in the Age of AI – Empowering Inclusion, Innovation and Ethical Growth’ in Bologna in Italy from 15 to 17 June.
Dr Alexia Antzaka presented the AI Pioneers evaluation schema in a session and provided a well-structured and informative overview of the schema and its contents (Open the Evaluation Schema via this link: Evaluation Schema).
Ana Dias, Dr. Giedre Tamoliune, Dr. Alexia Antzaka, Dr. Ludger Deitmer, and Frieda Klaus also offered an Action Lab on the AI evaluation schema. Participants were able to:
- Get to know the AI evaluation schema,
- Try it out using case studies,

- And provide feedback on the AI evaluation schema.
Lastly, Dr Ludger Deitmer and Frieda Klaus from the Institute Technology and Education (ITB) from Bremen (Germany) gave a presentation entitled “Artificial Intelligence in Vocational Education and Training: A Micro, Meso and Macro Perspective From the AI Pioneers Project”. This presentation provided an overview of the project and classified the research carried out according to the three levels of vocational education and training systems.
Furthermore, the EDEN conference also offered many opportunities, so that:
- New contacts were made,
- The AI Pioneers network was expanded,
- New and interesting input was provided,
- Opportunities to receive feedback on the project were explored.
We would like to thank everyone for their great cooperation and look forward to the project’s final conference from 22 to 23 September this year at the University of Bremen in Germany (register here).
