Prioritize Digital Well-being: Join the EDEN NAP webinar
Mark your calendars and discover the human side of digital education! The EDEN DLE Network of Academics and Professionals (NAP) is hosting a webinar “Digital Well-being in the Digital Education Ecosystem in Europe”, offering a unique opportunity to gain expert insights into this critical area. The webinar will take place on April 7th at 15:00 CET via Zoom.
Digital well-being isn’t just a buzzword; it’s a fundamental aspect of thriving in the 21st century. How do we balance the benefits of digital connectivity with the need for mental and emotional health? How do we create digital learning environments that foster both engagement and well-being? What strategies can educators and learners employ to cultivate healthy digital habits? What role can we play in creating a more balanced and mindful digital culture?

The webinar will be moderated by EDEN NAP Steering Committee member and AI Pioneers researcher Giedrė Tamoliūnė, who, alongside three presenters – Kristina Adomaitienė (Vytautas Magnus University, Lithuania), Rasmus Benke-Aberg (European Digital Education Hub), and Justina Pluktaitė (SPSCH Pardubice, Czech Republic) – will:
- Unbox the concept of digital well-being, providing a comprehensive understanding of its multifaceted nature.
- Share European initiatives and actions that underscore the importance of this topic on a policy level.
- Discuss practical experiences and recommendations on integrating and prioritizing digital well-being when creating or using digital tools in education.
As a project partner in AI Pioneers, EDEN is actively exploring and addressing the complexities of digital well-being. While digital well-being is not a core output or activity explicitly defined in the AI Pioneers project, we firmly believe that our network members cannot effectively prioritize their work without prioritizing their own well-being. We see digital well-being competence as crucial when discussing AI in education.
Join us on April 7th to explore these questions and gain actionable insights. We look forward to seeing you there!
