AI Pioneers meets in Bilbao for the second transnational project meeting
The second project meeting of the Erasmus+ project AI Pioneers took place from May 22 to 24 in Bilbao at the University of the Basque Country. The project is coordinated by the ITB and consists of a project consortium of 10 partners from Germany, Greece, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Cyprus and Estonia. The AI Pioneers project is concerned on the establishment of a network of teachers and trainers from vocational education and training (VET) and adult education with a focus on the application of artificial intelligence. The main discussions at the project meeting in Bilbao were on the creation of an AI toolkit with practical implementation examples and the development of an ethical evaluation schema to assess ethical issues relating to the use of AI tools in educational settings.
Furthermore, the project partners took part in the sixth International Congress on Social and Educational Inclusion (CIISE conference) organized by the University of the Basque Country as part of a presentation followed by a panel discussion with regard to the use of AI and the contribution it can make to promoting inclusion in the work context.
